Does bald mean sexy? We think so, and so does science. Studies show that men who embrace the bald look are seen as more attractive than those with a full head of hair. From Jason Statham to Prince William, the shiniest and brightest baldies continue to catch our eye. We've updated the rankings for the fourth year running and crunched the numbers to reveal the Sexiest Bald Man of 2025.
An index-based ‘sexy’ score using a weighted combination of the following factors: height, cranial luminance, golden ratio, vocal attractiveness, eye-width ratio, smile analysis, positive media perception and ‘sexy’ search volumes.

Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson
Taking this year's crown as the sexiest bald man of 2025 is none other than Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson, scoring an impressive 8.84 out of 10 on the sexy scale. In a surprising twist of results, The Rock knocked Prince William off his throne this year, ending the future king’s two-year streak following his wins in 2023 and 2024.
This legendary action actor has been sporting the bald look since 2003, and not only do fans love it, but science agrees. The Rock’s facial structure is the highest scoring among all bald celebrities, with a perfect score of 10 out of 10 according to the golden ratio (a mathematical proportion analysing the ratio, length and more to map out the ‘perfect’ face).
He also ranks second-highest overall for ‘sexy’ and ‘shirtless’ searches - behind only Jeff Bezos - with fans searching 34,000 times annually. And while good looks can only get you so far, his charismatic and well-loved personality scores him well above average among media perception, too (6.27).
Prince William
Slipping one place into second this year is Prince William, with a score of 8.76. Despite being the sexiest bald man for two years in a row, he has been dethroned for 2025.
Despite this, the Prince of Wales remains one of the most admired bald men alive, thanks to his high score in positive media perception of 7.84 out of 10, while his face also scores an equally impressive 9.3 on the golden ratio calculations. The future king can claim ‘tall king’ status,
Thierry Henry
Not only is he considered one of the world’s all-time best strikers, Thierry Henry is also crowned the third sexiest bald man in 2025, with an overall score of 8.6 out of 10.
Known for his effortless charisma, on and off the pitch, the Frenchman jumped five places, up from seventh in 2024 to third in 2025, due to his consistently high scores across almost every factor. His smooth French accent scores in the top 10% for vocal attractiveness, while his standout smile-to-face ratio (8.42) scores highest among the top 10 sexiest bald men.
Jason Statham
Jason Statham’s rugged charm and sharp jawline push him into fourth place. Scoring 8.5 out of 10 overall, his iconic bald look makes him irresistible.
Statham boasts the fifth shiniest scalp in 2025, with a near-perfect score of 9.24 - at 74.73% of a 60W bulb. Additionally, this actor's British accent pulls points for vocal attractiveness, ranking him among the best with a 9.04 score out of 10, while his ‘sexy’ searches are at 8,150 each year, proving his appeal is still strong across the globe.
RuPaul
Falling just behind Jason Statham by five thousandths of a point is Drag Race star and icon, RuPaul, with 8.5 out of 10.
Bringing glamour and serving face, scientifically, RuPaul stands strong in fifth place. While RuPaul scores lower than average in ‘sexy’ searches, an impeccable face card (9.62), a high positivity rating (7.21) and being taller than average (6ft3), pushes them up the rankings.
Although RuPaul’s vocal attractiveness score is lower, a commanding presence and self-assured elegance more than make up for it, showing that confidence never goes out of fashion.
Vin Diesel
Vin Diesel fast and furiously jumps to sixth place in this year’s sexiest bald man rankings, up four spots from 2024.
His score of 8.44 out of 10 reflects years of dedication in the gym and on our screens - he knows how to turn heads. Vin Diesel ranks in the top 10 for searches like ‘topless’, ‘nude’ and ‘shirtless’, amassing more than 7,000 annual Google searches from crazed fans, pulling him up the table for sexiest bald man in 2025. Not to mention, his high golden ratio score (9.67), impressive vocal attractiveness (8.83) and bright shining bald head (9.11).
Shaquille O’Nea
A consistent face in our rankings since 2022, Shaquille O’Neal once again places among the top 10. This year, Shaq’s in seventh place with an overall sexy score of 8.37 out of 10.
Despite dropping from third place in 2024, the former NBA star is the tallest man in our rankings of 78 bald celebrities, while his deep, booming voice earns him the second-highest score in vocal attractiveness (9.95). Not only does science agree, but the general public does too - his average tone of media perception ranks among the top 20 (7.43).
Travis Barker
Rocking into eighth place is Travis Barker, drummer and husband of Kourtney Kardashian, with an overall score of 8.22 out of 10.
A new entry for 2025, this Blink-182 icon is known for his edgy style, and while his baldness is sometimes covered with a beanie, his tattooed look pulls everything together. When analysing the golden ratio, Travis Barker has one of the highest scores among all celebrities thanks to his near-perfect face shape and symmetry (9.84), while search interest for the drummer also remains high (1,720).
Tyson Beckford
Widely regarded as the hottest man in the world, Tyson Beckford ranks as the ninth sexiest bald man in Reboot’s analysis, scoring an impressive 8.22 - just five thousandths of a point behind Travis Barker.
This Jamaican-American model and actor has been blessing our televisions and magazines since the early 90s… and we don’t want him to stop. Beckford’s unmistakable facial symmetry in the golden ratio (9.45) and eye width (9.79) rank highly, while these two scores combined easily push him into the top 10. Adored by fans and the media alike, his positive online perception ranks in the top three overall (9.44).
Woody Harrelson
Rounding out 2025’s list of sexiest bald men is Woody Harrelson, with an overall score of 8.14 out of 10.
Working with almost everyone in Hollywood throughout his 40-year career, this Oscar-nominated actor’s appeal lies in his relatability and easy-going nature. With a head luminance of 71% of a 60W bulb, and well-above-average facial fatio (9.55), Woody’s good looks and baldness pull him into the top 10 for 2025.
Our methodology in full
GEO and digital PR agency Reboot Online performed a multivariate study to identify the sexiest bald man in 2025 from a seed list of 78 celebrities who made it into the final cut. The study is an index composed of the following main variables:
Golden ratio
Vocal attractiveness
Shine factor
Smile analysis
Media perception
Eye width
Sexy search volumes
Height
Each factor was assigned a weight based on its perceived influence on overall attractiveness. For instance, the golden ratio carried more weight than height, while search volume contributed more heavily than eye width. These weighted values were then combined to produce each celebrity’s final score. To ensure consistency and comparability, all scores were normalised on a scale of 1 to 10, resulting in a clear, index-based ranking system.
The golden ratio method:
An anthropometric analysis using computer vision algorithms was carried out to calculate the geometric golden ratio proximity for each celebrity’s face. In mathematics, two quantities are in the golden ratio if their ratio is equal to the ratio of their sum to the larger of the two quantities. In simple terms, consider a line and divide it into two parts of unequal lengths; the entire length of the line divided by the longer part is equal to the longer part divided by the shorter part. That ratio is approximated to be 1.618 and is seen frequently in nature, art, architecture, etc. Studies of facial symmetry have shown that faces are deemed more attractive when their proportions approach this Golden Ratio.
The computer vision algorithm identifies facial landmarks of prominent facial features and calculates the ratios between the computed landmarks for each image.
To mitigate face variability from a multitude of confounding factors, including varying expressions, illuminations and poses, two images were selected per person, and any outliers were either removed or replaced with a more suitable image before averaging the golden ratio proximity percentages across all images to find an overall score per person.
Vocal attractiveness method:
Voice analysis was performed using the Praat software, a computer software package for speech analysis in phonetics.
Three different sound clips were collected from YouTube for each celebrity speaking in interviews and podcasts. These were then fed into the Praat software, which identifies glottal pulses to determine the overall fundamental frequency (F0) of each audio extract.
Research by Saxton et al. published in Behavioural Ecology (Behavioral Ecology (2016), 27(2), 512–519. doi:10.1093/beheco/arv178)* found that “male vocal attractiveness peaked at around 96Hz"". This was used as our peak attractiveness benchmark. An overall “vocal attractiveness” score was calculated as the percentage difference from this frequency for each fundamental frequency analysed for each celebrity.
Shine factor method:
To supplement the study, cranium luminance was computed following the methodology described on Wikipedia: relative luminance. The methodology was applied specifically to a cropped image of the celebrity’s head. A computer vision algorithm identified facial landmarks and then created a mask layer for the head and the face. From there, the images were converted to grayscale and cropped. Each pixel was then converted to RGB values, and a formula for relative luminance was applied: L = 0.2126 * R [Red] + 0.7152 * G [Green] + 0.0722 * B [Blue].
The head luminance is given in cd/m2 and further calculated as a % of a 60W 800 lumen light bulb.
Smile analysis method:
Smile analysis was carried out using a computer algorithm based on dlib’s machine learning face detection, which identifies and analyses smiles from static images. The study used a “smile percentage” measure, defined as the width of the smile relative to the width of the face. It was assumed that a larger smile corresponds to greater attractiveness.
Media perception method:
Media perception analysis was done using GDELT data, the Global Database of Events, Language, and Tone. The Global News Coverage database allows for gathering data on the tone of reporting in the global news coverage throughout the years. The data on the tone of reporting in the last two years was gathered, and the percentage of the news articles with a positive tone was calculated. The tone of reporting is a good indicator of the sentiment that the public has for a given celebrity. It is assumed that the public has a bigger sentiment towards more attractive celebrities.
The metric used for the score calculation is the average tone across the year for all the mentioned news articles. Each article’s tone is given a value on a scale from -100 (extremely negative) to +100 (extremely positive), though most values typically fall between -10 and +10. The overall score is calculated as the mean of these tone values.
Eye width method:
The eye-to-face width ratio was derived using established facial landmarks, specifically measuring the interpupillary distance (IPD) relative to overall facial width. A benchmark value of 0.46, as suggested in the research, was applied to calculate the deviation from this reference point.
Search interest method:
The SEO tool Ahrefs was used to find the past year's monthly search volumes for [name] + “shirtless”, [name] + “topless”, [name] + “naked” and [name] + “nude”. The search volumes were used as a quantifier of the desire and popularity of a given celebrity.
